The Group of Ministers formed to discuss the implications in the process of the bifurcation of the State of AP to carve out Telangana districts from the present State of AP to form a separate State of Telangana.    

The meeting will be held at North Block in Home Minister's Office at 4.00 pm today. Today's meeting will be the second one of GoM.  First meeting was held on October 11 which was presided over by the Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde as the Defense Minister A.K.Antony was unwell.  Finance Minister Chidambaram also did not attend the meeting as he was on a foreign tour.  Only five Ministers, Sushil Kumar Shinde, Gulam Nabi Azad, Veerappa Moily, Jairam Ramesh and special invitee V.Narayana Swamy attended the first meeting.  

Today, the meeting will be conducted by A.K.Antony as the leader of GoM.  Chidambaram is also going to attend the meeting this time.  ‘Basic parameters for creation of a separate State’ were discussed in the first meeting as stated by Gulam Nabi Azad after the meeting was concluded.
