TDP Bulletin on Revenue Sharing

TDP Seemandhra MPs released a bulletin as per which Seemandhra region should not be deprived of the revenue from Hyderabad.

The bulletin reveals that the revenue from Hyderabad alone contributes over 50% of the total revenue of State which should be shared by the two regions on the basis of the population proportionately.  The new States, as per them can flourish only when it is done that way.  The people of Seemandhra are not prepared to lose the City of Hyderabad which is developed in the fields of education, employment, medical and research and development.

As per the bulletin, the contribution of the people from all the regions in the development of Hyderabad is undisputable but major share is from Coastal Andhra, Rayalaseema, other States and foreign investments.  The sudden announcement of making Hyderabad the capital of Telangana shocked the people of Seemandhra.

The State budget in 2012-13 is 1.61 lakhs crores.  If it is divided between two regions @58% as per the population an amount of Rs. 93000 crores pertains to Seemandhra and 68000 crores will go to Telangana including Hyderabad.  But the same cannot be expected to Seemandhra in the near future after bifurcation.

The bulletin also shows the facts and figures of the area of Hyderabad compared to the Union territories, Delhi and development in terms of projects, roads, express highways etc.

It is concluded in the bulletin that the people of Seemandhra will be put to a great loss if the revenue and other sharing are  not done thoughtfully taking all points in to consideration.
