Samaikyandhra Leaders Arrest Triggers Protest

Samaikyandhra Parirakshana Samiti staged protests at Alipiri and shouted slogans against the police highhandedness.  MP Siva Prasad also joined the protest.

Police arrested 20 persons on the charges of attempted attack on Congress party Rajya Sabha Member V Hanumantha Rao yesterday at Alipiri foot hills of Tirumala that includes Samaikyandhra Parirakshana Samiti leaders Bala Subrahmaniam and Raja reddy.

Rayalaseema Youth Forum Convener Surya Prakash denied the charges of attack.  He says that the only program was to hand over flowers to VH and show their protest in a soft and peaceful way.  But, Surya Prakash says that the VH comments enraged some who threw chappals on the vehicle but no attack was done nor attempted.

Many Telangana leaders found fault with the attack on VH including TRS leader Harish Rao.  For that Surya Prakash says that Telangana leaders are now making it a point when there is no attack but they should remember the physical attacks on Nagam Janardan Reddy in Osmania University, Jaya Prakash Narayan at Assembly and Harish Rao’s attack on a Dalit employee at AP Bhawan Delhi.
