Divided we fall, cracks in Andhra Pradesh deepen

Tuesday has dawned on Andhra Pradesh and the state is falling apart from the middle. Suspecting political trouble if delayed further, the Center has zeroed in on the D-Day. Today, the state will witness changes that may go down in history.

For those who lived their whole life in Andhra, it is a matter of great sadness that the brotherhood is not willing to coexist peacefully. Reports point towards a split that will be complete within a year. By mid 2014, Andhra Pradesh may become Telangana and Seemandhra.

However, there is still speculation over what will happen to Ananthapur and Kurnool. These are places where YSRCP has a strong following. In an attempt to dilute Jagan's foothold in Rayalaseema, Congress may transfer the two districts into Telangana, which also divides the state equally.

When it comes down to the bottom line, leaders may just have to watch the events as they unfold, powerless to do anything. What's next for the Telugu kingdom?
