As Panchayat Election schedule is to be announced today by the State Election Commissioner P Ramakanth Reddy, A major reshuffle and a nod to go ahead to fill as many as 24078 vacancies were taken place.
It will be against the election code if it is done after the schedule is announced by the Election Commissioner. That made the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy to take a hurried decision yesterday night.
Under Prabhutva Udyoga Jatara scheme a record filling of 24078 was given green signal for which APPSC will give notification shortly.
In the major reshuffling, Executive Officer of TTD L.V.Subrahmanyam was transferred to the post of Principal Secretary for Health, Medical and Family Welfare and his place is taken by M.G.Gopal who was holding the position of Principal Secretary, Endowments. A total of 14 senior IAS Officers were shuffled yesterday night.
In the same exercise, 27 IPS Officers also were transferred. Some of them were promoted in the process.
