Hyderabad Metro a model for Delhi and Jaipur

Jaipur and second phase of Delhi metro are going to take Hyderabad as a model for their metro works.  The design Hyderabad Metro adopting uses less ground space.  A special cantilever pier design is used at Tarnaka that could leave the Land of Osmania University untouched.

First overhead station is being constructed at Uppal.  The station will be constructed with two levels.  Top one is platform and below it is concourse that will be connected with the platform with lift, escalators and of course, stairs.  The precision in the construction will ensure that there will not be much gap between platform and the train entrance not even a gap that allows foot of a child.

The metro work, as HMR Director NVS Reddy explained today that a lot of care is taken in the construction work like hand chiseling as detonators are not allowed on the road and utmost care in digging not damage water pipes, sewer lines, telecom cables and power cables and above all the metro work is going on without disrupting the traffic.

NVS Reddy also said that the model metro rail coach is arriving in the month of August which will be kept for the public viewing.
