Sabita summoned by CBI Court

First ever Home Minister of AP Sabita Indra Reddy is summoned by CBI Special Court who also will be the first Minister to face a trial in the Court.  She is accused No.4, in Dalmia Cement's quid pro quo investments in Y.S.  Jagan’s companies.

Quid pro quo is just like a return gift.  The investigating agency in its inquiry into YS Jagan’s inappropriate assets turned all stones and came up with the evidences that YS Jagan’s companies were flooded with funds in the shape of investments by the companies that received favors from YS Rajasekhara Reddy when he was Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

As per the charge sheets filed by CBI on 8th April, 11 persons were accused and 46 are witnesses for the above financial crimes.  All the accused including Sabita Indra Reddy and also YS Jaganmohan Reddy who is accused No.1 and in Judicial custody, are summoned to attend the court personally on 7th June.

Excepting Sri Lakshmi IAS, all others are charged under IPC and under Anti Corruption.

The case is like this-

Sabita Indra Reddy who was the Minister for Mines, Principal Secretary for Industries Y.Sri Lakshmi and Ex Director of Mines Department V.D.Rajagopal conspired, as per CBI, in transferring a lease of lime stone required for the cement factory from one company to another.  The application of Jaya Minerals in 1997 was processed but it was allotted to Eswar Cements of Sajjala Divakara Reddy and later it was transferred to Dalmia Cements.  As V.D.Rajagopal played a key role in it, Sri Lakshmi and Sabita Indra Reddy gave their approvals for it.  CBI also alleges that YS Jagan influenced his CM father YSR for making allotments in favor of Dalmia Cements.  As gratitude, Dalmia Cements invested in Bharati Cements by buying shares at an exorbitant rate of premium as a return gift (Quid pro quo).  A total of 407 hectors of land for mining lime stone was allocated to Dalmia Cements in Mylavaram, Thalamanchipatnam and Nawabpet in Kadapa District.
