Two arrested for FB 'hate' messages against Akbaruddin

The Cyberabad Police arrested two persons for posting 'hate' messages against the incarcerated Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi. The duo was arrested for trespassing the limits of 'freedom of speech.'

As per the reports, 'their comments might instigate tension in the nation.' The arrested duo were British Vyas and Murari Navinder. Off late the wafer thin line between the 'freedom of speech and hate messages seems to have been conveniently erased by most, feel critics.

The duo hail from Adilabad district and based on the instructions by the Cyberabad police the local cops arrested them. The Chandrayangutta MLA is housed at the Adilabad prison for his 'hate speeches' at 'Jalsa' in Nirmal town of the district that attracted national ire.

It may be noted, social activist Shabnam Hashmi filed a complaint in Delhiā€™s Parliament Street Police Station on the speech. Several rights activists, including Dr. Asghar Ali Engineer and Ram Puniyani condemned the MIM leader, on the same issue. (Wishesh AarKay)
