Akbaruddin case: OU police plans to file PT warrant

Osmania University police are planning to file a prisoner in transit (PT) warrant in Nirmal Court to take MIM legislator Akbaruddin into their custody and produce before Nampally Criminal Court as it's known that court directed Osmania University police to file a case against Akbaruddin under IPC Section 153 A for allegedly delivering a hate speech. Accordingly, OU police filed a case against him. In connection with the same the police was supposed to produce Akbaruddin before Nampally Court.

In meantime, Nirmal police who took the speech as suo moto filed several cases against Akbaruddin, took him into custody and produced before the court two days back. He was subsequently remanded to judicial custody for 14 days. So, he's currently at a district court in Adilabad district. In order to take him in to custody and produce before another court, the police need to file PT warrant. And OU police are making arrangements for moving this petition today.
