Yerram Naidu's extreme unction

In an unfortunate accident in the wee hours of Friday, Yerram Naidu breathed his last. His last rites are being performed at the moment.

The 55 year old leader from TDP is survived by his wife Vijayalakshmi, a son and a daughter. Inspired by the veteran actor and founder of TDP N T Ramarao he entered politics in 1982. In his total career he had been elected as the MLA four times paving his way into the parliament. His consecutive victories from 1996 to 2004 shot him to fame. He had to taste the bitterness of a defeat in 2009 elections when he was defeated by Killi Kruparani, a Congress member.

The last rites of the leader are being held at his own village, Nimmada while the grand send off on his last journey is being closely looked after by the Government. Former MLA and his brother K Atchannaidu is looking after the arrangements needed.

His final journey has drawn thousands of supporters, political leaders among others. TDP president Chandrababu Naidu has made himself available by the dead body at all times in the final journey.

The whole village has been drowned in melancholy with the demise of a great leader. He efforts for the upbringing of the welfare of backward class sections of the society are unforgettable.

Kinjarapu Yerramnaidu passed away in an unfortunate car crash that took place at Dandanapeta, Ranasthalam mandal only 23 km away from Srikakulam. His body had not responded to the treatment when he was put on ventilator at the Srikakulam KIMS hospital. He was declared dead by 3:30pm.
