Lagadapati to pacify Kavuri

Congress MP from Eluru constituency, Kavuri Sambasiva Rao has resigned for his post. He reportedly sent in the resignation letters to AICC supremo Sonia Gandhi and LS speaker Meira Kumar through fax. The sources said that Kavuri was upset that he was not invited for induction into the cabinet. Also, he was unhappy with the high command since seniors in the Congress party were not getting due recognition. It may be noted that Kavuri Sambasiva Rao had been with Congress party for over two decades. The sources said that Kavuri didn't even listen even after Ahmed Patel tried to pacify him. A few other seniors in the Congress party were disappointed, added sources.

Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal has spoken on Kavuri Sambasiva Rao's resignation. He has said that he would go to Delhi this evening and try to pacify him. Lagadapati said he would not only talk to Kavuri but put forth his points before the high command and ensure that he gets the justice. Speaking about his seniority, Lagadapati mentioned that Kavuri had immense experience and won as a Congress MP for five times. He even recalled the way Ahmed Patel and Azad supported the candidature of Kavuri Sambasiva Rao. Further, he said Kavuri should have got cabinet berth long back and stressed it was unfortunate he was not inducted into the cabinet.
