It's bright Wednesday morning at Hyderabad ,with as usual the weather man predicting rains during the course of the day. However coastal Andhra is enjoying the monsoons with frequent showers. Fantabulous to think that we have crossed midway of this horrendous week in this concrete jungle. Moments to unwind to come soon, so with that hope of encouragement let's be off for a hectic schedule ahead.

Celebrity Corner: Amala Nagarjuna celebrates her birthday today. Amala, an actress cum an active social worker and a socialite, in addition to being the home maker of the Annapurna scion, King Nagarjuna. How does she manage all these in one go. OMG! Got to question the next time our film news executive visits her for an exclusive. Well at the moment Wishesh carries all your greeting and wishes Ms Amala Nagarjuna a very happy birthday. We also wish her a grand success as an actor in her second innings through Shekar Kammula's 'Life Is Beautiful.'

History Speaks: On this day in 1948 the Indian Army attacked the state of Hyderabad as it was resisting unification with the nation. This was exactly the day after the Pakistani Leader Jinnah died.
 
Days Specialty: It is quite a romantic day today as, in 1953, US's most famous president John F Kennedy, who was then a senator and Jacqueline Lee Bouvier were pronounced, as man and wife.

From the epics: Bhagavad-Gita: The tenth chapter Vibhuti-Vistara-Yoga was in details about the Infinite Glories of the Ultimate Truth. And as usual today  it is the eleventh chapter Visvarupa-Darsana Yoga, which deals mainly with 'The Vision of the Universal Form.' In this chapter the Lord Krishna reveals to his disciple Arjuna, amidst Kurukshetra that every thing ever starts from him and ends in him. He reveals the Universal form (Viswaroopam) to his ardent devotee. Arjuna is enthralled and is filled with ecstasy for the divine gift thus received.

Tirupati: Devotees rush normal  and sources say that only 8 compartments are filled with devotees to have a glimpse of the Lord. Ordinary darshan will just take five hours for the devotees in queue. For stats on Tuesday 58,656  visited the shrine.

India Vs New Zealand: The second T20 at Chennai India vs Newzealand was won by the guests. The guests who were forced to bat made a 167/5 while Team India was just lagging behind by two runs when the stipulated overs were bowled. Pathetic. However Yuvraj Singh picked up well and made 34 runs and needs another couple of matches to get into rhythm. But Virat Kohli (70) and MC Cullum (91) stole the show and the later aiding his team for a win.   

9/11 attack: Yesterday US and the whole world mourned the collapse of the World Trade Centre, the accident that occurred in 2001, left big void in global security.

Ganesh Chaturthi:  Lord Ganesha festival is fast approaching and the entire public is looking forward for celebrations on September 19. Turn to green Ganesha and save the city from water pollution.

Entertainment: Illeana D Cruz pins her hope on the Ranbhir starer Barfi, that is scheduled for global release this week.

• Yash Raj Films: YRF announces its next venture with Badshah of Bollywood Sharukh Khan. And the film named "Jab Tak Hai Jaan"  had evoked positive response from global fans of the Badshah.

Kudankulam: South: Kudankulam protestors calm. Leaders of People's Movement Against Nuclear Energy (PMANE) were abducted by fishermen to prevent them from surrendering to police. In fact the PMANE planned a massive protest at the local police station last night and were ready to be courted arrests for the cause. The fisher folks in the district were protesting against the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant (KNPP) in the Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu.

Sedition: National: Noted Cartoonist Aseem Trivedi ordered to be released by the Maharashtra Apex Court. He was arrested on the charges of 'sedition' because of his controversial cartoon. (With inputs from internet-AW AarKay)
