Saffron leaders try to lay siege to Vidyut Soudha

Th electricity cuts across the state has drawn the wrath of the opposition parties in the state, who are apparently trying their best to hog limelight and put the ruling party in a fix. To mark their protest over the same power cuts, BJP plunged into the scene. The leaders of saffron party cadre tried to lay seize to Vidyut Soudha in Khairatabad area of Hyderabad. The situation reportedly turned tense after the team headed by Kishan Reddy and Bandaru Dattatreya tried to march into the Soudha.  A large number of security, which was beefed up long back, obstructed the mission of the leaders and took Kishan Reddy, Bandaru Dattatreya and several other leaders into the custody.

The arrested leaders were sent to the nearby police station. It has to be mentioned here that government has been drawing lot of criticism not just from political cadres but all sections of the society due to continuous power cuts even in rainy season. While chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy stated that such critical situation popped-up due to increase in population and power consumption, the leaders apparently stated that they were not satisfied with the justifications given by the CM. Meanwhile, CM is now in Delhi holding talks with several leaders. A few minutes back he met UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi with whom he discussed the acute power crisis in the state. Will Centre interfere and put a check to this problem? It's a rhetorical question, say observers.
