Advocate moves SC against 6 ministers

A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court against the six minister of Andhra Pradesh cabinet who were responsible for issuing the 26 controversial GOs. An advocate named Sudhakara Reddy approached the apex court seeking an inquiry on the six ministers including Sabita Indra Reddy, Ponnala Lakshmaiah, Dharmana Prasada Rao, Kanna Lakshminarayana, Geeta Reddy and  Mopidevi Venkataramana. Notably, Mopidevi was arrested long back and sent to judicial custody.

It may be recalled that the Supreme Court earlier issued notices to these minister over the controversial GOs. These GOs benefitted certain people who invested in Jaganmohan Reddy’s companies. The CBI argued that it was quid pro quo. Jagan was said to have used influence of his father late YSR, who was the then chief minister to get benefits from the government.
