EC notice to 'Kiran' over religious comments

The Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has been issued notice by the state Election Commission for violation over religious context speech at Tirupati on May 11. The EC issued the notice on Friday and the CM has to reply to the said notice today in Hyderabad. As per the notice, Mr Kiran is alleged to have violated the mode of conduct, by his speech with religious content.

Mr Kiran in his flow had said that `voters should vote for Congress to ensure the religious sanctity and sacredness of the temple town (Tirupati).

Earlier this week the CM was issued another notice by the EC for his speech urging, ` each party worker should cast 10 votes in favour of Congress.’ For which the CM reiterated that it was a `slip of the tongue.’ Admitting that, it was not to violate the model code.

As the by-polls pressure is mounting the three-corner contest between YSR Congress, TDP and Congress is mounting. The mercury level is surging rapidly upwards and such slips are going to surge too. (With Inputs from Internet- Aarkay)
