All Party opposition flare at ACB Chief Transfer

The transfer of the Anti corruption Bureau Additional Director Srinivasa Reddy was severely condemned by the all party of oppositions. They felt that the officer was very intelligently dealing on a sensitive case like the liquor scam and has been daring in his approach. The All part representatives wanted the government to recall his transfer at any cost. In fact the All party representatives met the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy in his camp office at noon today. They expressed to the CM that a sincere officer must not be gifted transfer. They also discussed with the CM about the electricity charges hike and its inconvenience to the public.

Incidentally, Mr Reddy was the Chief of the department which unearthed the major Liquor Scam. The details unearthed had many top officials of the excise department and some ministers, listed in the scam. Several top politicians in the state are under scrutiny in the liquor racket. Police sources have alleged political pressure to scuttle probe. As per reports not only have excise and police officials taken bribes to allow the illegal liquor business to flourish, they also loaned money to the tune of Rs 2 Cr to the mafia to carry on the trade.

Recently the Andhra Pradesh High Court has sent notices to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, state Congress chief B Satyanarayana, Excise Minister M Venkatramana and leader of Opposition Chandrababu Naidu.
