Vijayasai’s wife Sunanda quizzed by CBI

CBI sleuths today grilled Ms. Sunanda Reddy, wife of the auditor Vijayasai reddy who was arrested in the illegal assets case involving the YSR congress president Mr YS Jaganmohan Reddy.

She reportedly told the CBI that she and her mother- in- law were directors of the Mukhari Estates in Bangalore. According to reports, she informed the agency that her family had purchased properties worth Rs.4 Cr in the last three years.

The house of veteran singer J. Yesudas in Chennai was purchased by their family for Rs.80 lakh in May 2009, as per her statement. She also revealed her family bought a villa plot worth Rs.75.95 lakh in Emaar Estates in March 2009, a deluxe flat worth Rs.57.72 lakh from ASR Constructions in Bangalore in Oct 2009, five acres of agricultural land worth Rs.48.30 lakh at Chandragiri in August 2010 and another five acres of land worth Rs.1.5 Cr at Samshabad in Dec 2010.

Sunanda Reddy told the CBI sleuths that they bought the Gopalapuram house in Chennai in the name of her daughter Ms. Neha and the family also owned a house in the gated community of Adarsh Developers at the Outer Ring Road in Bangalore, besides a commercial complex in Chennai. (J)
