Trivedi announces 13 new trains for AP

Railway Minister Dinesh Trivedi announced the introduction of 13 new trains in AP in the 2012-13 rail budget. The following new express trains will be introduced in the state as per his speech.

1. Inter city express between Secunderabad and Bellampalli
2. Express between Visakhapatnam and Chennai
3. Express between Secunderabad and Shalimar
4. Express between Visakhapatnam and Shirdi
5. Express between Secunderabad and Dharbanga
6. Express between Tirupati and Bhuvaneswar
7. Express between Kachiguda and Madurai
8. Express between Adilabad and Nanded
9. Express between Secunderabad and Porbandar
10. Express between Secunderabad and Nagpur
11. Express between Secunderabad and Ajmer
12. Express between Visakhapatnam and Ramapur
13. Express between Palasa nd Gunapur


The Railway Minster has also announced extension of Bodhan-Nizamabad train service up to Kamareddy, Arakonam-Nandalur passenger service up to Kadapa and that of Tirupati- Madurai train to Rameswaram.

Additionally, the frequency of Secunderabad –Tirupati train will be extended to four days from two days a week and that of the Hyderabad-Kolhapur and Tirupati-Madurai trains to seven days a week from the present two days a week. (J)
