Former PRP leader Mr Ramachandraiah Goud, who unsuccessfully contested from the Nellore Lok Sabha constituency in the 2009 elections, today joined the TDP along with his supporters and followers.

Ramachandraiah and his supporters met Chandrababu Naidu in Nellore and joined the Telugu Desam party in his presence. Welcoming them into the party, Naidu said the TDP would provide more reservations to the BCs in the assembly and other legislative bodies after coming into power in the next assembly elections.

Naidu appealed to the voters of Kovur to vote for the TDP candidate and teach a lesson to the YSRCP and the congress. “There is not much difference between the Congress and YSR congress and both are same,” he said.

Naidu later left for Bangalore to attend a private programme. “I will soon start my campaign in the by polls in the Telangana area,” he told newspersons before leaving for Bangalore. (J)
