Kiran, Naidu eager to test strength in by-polls

A day after the Election Commission announced by-poll schedule for the seven assembly constituencies in the state, both Congress and the TDP declared they are ready to face the by- polls.

While Chief Minister Kirankumar reddy announced the Congress party has completed the process of selecting the candidates for the by-polls, TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu said his party would put up candidates in all seven constituencies and he would personally campaign in all places.

Both of them addressed separate press conferences after the assembly was adjourned till Tuesday following the budged presentation by the Finance Minister Ramnarayana Reddy.

Kirankumar said the selection of candidates is over but a review would be made on Sunday. “We will have a final review of the names finalized and then send the list to the party high command, “he revealed.

Funds allotted wherever necessary

Rejecting the allegations of bias in allotment of funds for development, he said funds were being allotted wherever necessary irrespective of the regions and political parties representing the areas.

“Even in budget also, we allotted funds depending on the requirement of various departments and the Government has no bias of any sorts towards any department or party or region,” he said. (JUBS)
