Ganta Srinivasa Rao (GSR) assumes office, as the Minister for Infrastructure and Ports, today. The new minister’s office was set up in the H Block of the Secretariat. GSR had the blessings of all the top brass of PRP and to prove the point many bigwigs were present on the occasion to congratulate him. The profound lists of dignitaries on the occasion were PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana, Ministers Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, Ponnala Lakshmaiah, E Pratap Reddy, Dharmana Prasada Rao, C Ramachandraiah and Allu Aravind. And of course this list was headed by none other than the Praja Rajyam Party Chief K Chiranjeevi who first congratulated the new minister, on assuming office.

Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy last week confirmed the portfolios for the two PRP leaders who were inducted into the cabinet. While Ganta Srinivasa Rao was allocated the portfolio of Infrastructure, Investments and Ports, another leader C Ramchandraiah was offered the Endowments portfolio. Ganta Srinivasa Rao is known to be a close confident of mega star Chiranjeevi, is a very dynamic politician in Visakhapatnam district.
