Suvarnabhumi seeks its laptop back from CBI

The CBI special court of Nampally in Hyderabad today adjourned till Feb 10 hearing on the petition filed by the real estate firm Suvarnabhumi Developers seeking directions to the CBI to return its lap top seized from the auditor Mr Vijayasai Reddy.

The real estate firm told the court it had given its laptop to Vijayasai reddy for the purpose of auditing their accounts but the CBI seized it during its raids on the premises and offices of Vijayasai, the Man-Friday of YSR Congress President Mr YS Jaganmohan reddy.

The CBI counsel informed the court it had sent the laptop to the forensic lab for examination of the contents. “If the laptop contains no information relating to the properties and transactions of Jagan, we have no objection to return the instrument,” said the CBI lawyer to the court.

“We are awaiting a report from the forensic lab on the contents and the return of the laptop itself,” said the investigating agency in its response to the court.

Vijayasai reddy was arrested in the illegal properties case involving Jagan and has been presently lodged in the Chanchalguda jail. (JUBS)
