GHMC demolishes ‘big fish’ building

The GHMC officials today demolished the house of ‘big fish’ Mr Sarveswar Reddy at Madapur near Hyderabad.

Sarveswar Reddy, who worked till recently as OSD (officer on special duty) in the police department in Rangareddy district, was in the news for possessing illegal properties worth crores of rupees.

Recently, ACB sleuths raided him and arrested him for being in possession of huge properties disproportionate to his known sources of income. He was suspended from his job later. The former police official built a 6-storey building at Madapur with his illegally earned income.

“He violated rules and built the huge building. Hence we are demolishing it,” said a GHMC official at the house. (JUBS)
