Tapeswaram Laddu gains place in Gunnies Book

Tapeswaram Laddu is now listed in the Gunnies Book of world records. The Ganapathi Laddu of 5570 kg prepared for the purpose of Vinayak Chaturdhi festival and exhibited at the Ganapathi Pandal at MVP Colony in Visakhapatnam this year has earned a place in the Gunnies Book for its weight.

The Laddu was prepared by the Tapeswaram sweet masters and the recognition means no other Laddu carried this much weight till now in any part of the world. The MVP colony Vinayak Pandal was arranged by the Suvarnabhumi Real Estates and the Tapeswaram specialists prepared this Laddu at the company’s request.

Most of the Ganapathi Laddus in AP including the one carried by the Khairatabad Vinayaka every year is prepared by the Tapeswaram Laddu specialists. The Suvarnabhumi Real Estates people have written to the publishers of the Gunnies Book of world records about the Laddu’s record weight and they have sent a message to the organizers confirming the Laddu of its record weight.

Every year, the credit of keeping the Laddu of record weight in the hands of Ganapathi is being claimed by the organizers of the Khairatabad Vinayaka Pandal. However, this record was broken this year by the Visakhapatnam Vinayaka.
