Stand off continues on SI examinations

si-examEven as the state government is going ahead with the written examination for the recruitment of SIs by imposing a 4-tier security zone around the BHEL complex near Hyderabad, the venue of the examination scheduled for August 13 and 14, OU JAC announced that they would try to obstruct the examination as per their programme earlier.

Rejecting the appeals of the Chief Minister Kirankumar Reddy, PCC chief Mr Botsa Satyanarayana and the T congress MP Mr. Madhu Yashki Goud to withdraw the proposed Telangana bandh tomorrow in view of the Centre’s recommendation to the President to remove the 14 F clause, the OU JAC leaders said that they would continue to agitate on the issue till the President of India signs the concerned file.

“The agitation will continue till the President Pratibha Patil puts her signature on the concerned file and therefore the bandh call given for tomorrow still stands good,” said the JAC leaders in a statement.

The OU JAC has given the bandh call for tomorrow demanding the withdrawal of 14 F from the zonal guidelines. Meanwhile, Hyderabad range DIG Mr. Nagi Reddy told media persons nearly 4000 armed constables will guard the examinations in a four-tier security zone created around the venue of examinations.

“Except the candidates and the BHEL employees, no one would be allowed into the premises,” said Mr Nagi Reddy.
