My aim is to become CM: Botsa

My aim is to become CM: BotsaMaking it clear that his sole aim is to become the chief minister, PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana said there is no wrong in wishing to become the CM. “I expressed my wish even in the presence of late YSR once and if somebody wants to become the chief minister, what is wrong with it?” he asked participating in the Big Debate programme on ABN Andhra Jyothy channel Tuesday night.

Botsa said that he would work in close cooperation with the chief minister Kirankumar reddy and try to improve the image of the government.

Asserting that his appointment as the PCC chief was made with the full knowledge of Kiran, he said the CM is maturing enough to give good administration to the people. Denying the reports that he was moving in top gear when compared to the CM, Botsa said government work is different to that of party work. “The CM looks after government and he must take decisions after careful study but being a party man I have to take care of party work at a fast pace. I always want to do things in hurry and I made mistakes in the Volkswagen affair in the past with the same hurry,” he said introspectively and defending Kirankumar reddy.

Explaining that frequent party meetings are necessary, Botsa said he has convened a meeting of DCC presidents on Thursday in the Gandhi Bhavan and the CM and some other ministers are also attending it.

Botsa said he has a formula to rejuvenate the party and asserted that Jagan leaving the party would not be a big loss. “With Jagan going out, there may be a ten percent loss at the most and I will try to set right the situation,” he said.

Speaking on Telangana issue, he said he will abide by the party’s decision and hoped the party leadership would find a solution acceptable to all. Botsa also denied that Kapu domination is growing in the party and said the masses are with the congress party only.
