All Party Meet turns Titanic for Congress :Politicking Wishesh

Namaskaram andi!

Hope you are enjoying your special exclusive from Wishesh. We try to bring out how the public like you & me feel about the present happenings. Aftermath of all-party-meet is that Congress high command shall be announcing the opinion of the meet in a month's time. TRS has called for a region wide bandh, however the response in the capital is lukewarm in the morning hours.

Dissent in Congress on all-party-meet: Things are not so good in the state Congress camp, post the all-party-meet. Presumably it was the only party which held diverse opinions from the two leaders present on the occasion from the two regions. The Telangana Congress was represented by former speaker Suresh Reddy, while the Seemandhra was represented by former minister  Gade Venkat Reddy, as usual the former voted for T formation and the later for unified state. Well this is an old story but the new one is that while most of the T Congress leaders expressed that T formation would commence within thirty days, there was a minor upheaval over the thought.

Yashki's praises Babu: It was visible when the entire lot appreciated the TDP stand of respecting the sentiments of the T public. Most leaders praised the TDP supremo for his approach and this was a boost to the cadre, especially as the leader is on a massive walkathon, Vastunna Mee Kosam. However the trigger was that senior T leader Madhu Goud Yashki even went to the extent stating that if Telangana was formed then N Chandrababu Naidu would be the CM. Sounds great!

Can Babu be T CM?: Now the critics speculate on the issue in different ways. It may be remembered that TDP had all the way saying that the Congress was only standing between the aspirations of T. He also said that only the central government can start the formation process. In that case if T formation commences before 2014, when by all certainty Congress must be in power then  it simply means that Congress had been the key element in laying the foundation for the new state. In that case sympathy is sure to run high in its favour and automatically so would public vote. In such a situation how could the TDP supremo become the T CM?

What is T Congress trying to say?: On the other hand, if Congress stays lukewarm to the formation then T could be a reality only in 2014, if there is a change in guard. So does that mean the Congress leaders are safely postponing the issue till then? This simply shows the mixed reaction among the T Congress leaders. While every other major party stuck to its decision of announcing a common opinion only the ruling party divulged. What could be the reasons that are not letting the party leaders between both the regions agree on a point?

Is VH's statement contradicted by Yashki: Again the statement of senior Congress leader V Hanumantha Rao contradicts the Yashki statement.  He claimed that by announcing Telangana he could assure that Congress could get 15-16 seats from the region. In that case how could he snatch the crown away from the TDP supremo. However the leader never mentioned about the alliance? But by all means Congress would never align with its arch rival!

All Party Meet turns Titanic for Congress: The whole situation in the Congress camp is chaotic about the Telangana issue. The all-party-meet only brought this fact out once again. While Congress wanted to use this to garner support for FDI in Retail vote, the strategy had back lashed on its own face. Now the party needs to think of a new strategy to boost the morale of its cadre. (Wishesh AarKay)
