22 Ex-Ministers yet to leave govt bungalows

As many as 22 ex-central ministers refuse to vacate government bungalows and popular among them are A Raja, Mukul Roy, SM Krishna, Pawan Kumar Bansal, Dayanidhi Maran and CP Joshi.

Former Union ministers Lalu Yadav and Buta Singh are special residents of the Lutyens’ zone. Lalu was supposed to vacate the home in 2009 itself however citing health grounds and apparently his granddaughter studies in Delhi, Union Minister Kamal Nath has granted permission for Lalu to stay in the bungalow till October 2014.

The Supreme Court orders are bluntly ignored here which stated on July 5, 2013 that such accommodation is to be vacated within a month of ceasing to be minister.

This list of ministers and their accommodation was revealed in response to the Right to Information Act. The UPA government was and is quite generous to all the above leaders as they gave support from outside.

What if BJP led NDA comes into power after May 16th ? Well then keep guessing.
