The Aam Aadmi Party government has ordered the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) to file an FIR against Delhi ex-chief minister Sheila Dikshit over the Common Wealth Games (CWG) scam. Ms Sheila was alleged for Rupees. 31-crore scam on expensive street-lighting for the Commonwealth Games in 2010.

The CWG were held in Delhi during Ms Sheila's third tenure as Delhi Chief Minister and corruption allegations mounted and as a result the Prime Minister appointed Shunglu Committee. This committee blamed Sheila for over-spending on new street-lighting and banners that were displayed during the games. Speaking on it Manish Sisodia said, “we are not targetting any individual. The money that was misused in the Common Wealth Games belongs to public and so we have ordered for a probe.”

The Congress party was unavailable to comment to this and are also in mood to reply whether they want to withdraw support to the AAP government or not.
