Violent earthquake hits Indonesian island of Sumatra!

The US Geological Survey (USGS) informed while arousing an intense horror that a violent 6.4-magnitude quake forcefully blown the Indonesian island of Sumatra on Saturday. Fortunately, there were no tsunami warning known to have come into light. Furthermore, USGS informed the quake violently blown at a superficial depth of just 23km, off the west coast of the vast island and 154km south-west of Sungaipenuh.

Mr Suharjono, an official from the local meteorology, climatology and geophysics agency who goes by one name, said there was no threat of a tsunami. The quake came just days subsequent to an intense inland tremor in Aceh province, on the northern tip of Sumatra, that destroyed dozens of people as well as left thousands homeless.
