Obama shattered with the shooting at school

After a madman, believed to have a personality disorder, rushed into Sandy Hook Elementary School, Ct, had killed over 26 people of which 20 were innocent kindergarten-to-fourth-grade children, Obama almost in tears, spoke to the people at the White House.

He had a hard time maintaining his composure and his aided had to help him through the discourse. He said that there should be some meaningful action taken against such shootings. He uttered with great difficulty, "Our hearts are broken today," after which he managed to say, "As a country, we have been through this too many times".

The custodians and the teachers were the bravest in the situation guarding the children and helping them take cover behind corners and inside closets. There is no news on how the shootings took place though.

The killer was identified as a 20 year old, Adam Lanza whose mother was working at the school. Another adult was found dead beside the gunman at the scene. Nancy Lanza, the mother and teacher, at the school is presumed to be dead.

Adam’s elder brother, Ryan Lanza, 24, is being questioned currently. He was extremely cooperative with the police. He is believed to be not guilty of being an accomplice. Records show that he wasn’t in contact with his brother since 2010.

"Evil visited this community today and it's too early to speak of recovery, but each parent, each sibling, each member of the family has to understand that Connecticut - we're all in this together. We'll do whatever we can to overcome this event," Gov. Dannel Malloy said.

Adam and his mother lived together in a uptown area of Newtown in a respectable place with high-class neighbors.

Obama became very emotional at the White House speaking of the tragedy. This was one of his most overtly emotional situations during his presidency.

"The majority of those who died were children - beautiful, little kids between the ages of 5 and 10 years old," Obama said after which words failed him. He broke down into tears and wiped his eyes before the two aides, who were crying too, held Obama’s hands in support.

Obama couldn't fathom that the kids "had their entire lives ahead of them-birthdays, graduations, wedding, kids of their own,"

He added "Among the fallen were also teachers, men and women who devoted their lives to helping our children".
