 Assam violence continues, two more dead

Even on Sunday the situation of the ethnic clashes between the Bodos and the Muslims had not subsided as two bodies were found with external injuries. This comes only a day after 7 people were killed on Saturday at the relief camps. The death toll with the latest deaths in the last two days has reached 88.

According to the police, one man was found with injury marks all over his body in Sukhanjora village under the jurisdiction of Bogribari police station in Dhubri on Sunday morning. He had been missing since Saturday. Several people protested on the NH-31 at Matrijoka of Dhubri as police took his corpse for post mortem examination. Another death had been  identified late in the night at Chirang.

A woman and child who weer leaving were also seriously injured after miscreants at the Salakati railway station of Kokrajhar on Sunday. They were both admitted to Bongaigaon Civil Hospital.

The killings on Saturday had taken place despite a good number of security forces being deployed. CBI are yet to complete their investigations in the cases.
