BJP slams on no-loss theory of Congress

On Saturday BJP alleged that the UPA government led by the Congress had rebuked the no-loss theory on the coal blocks allocations and said that the party was merely trying to beguile the people and mislead them.

It said, "When coal blocks are allocated, the right to mine rests with the private allottees, not government of India. Even without actual mining, the government has lost control over those mines at a throw-away price”,  Arun Jaitley spoke on behalf of the opposition party as the leader.

He also fired at P Chidambaram in the party conference telling that he had not understood the moral of the 2G spectrum scam where Kapil Sibal also played the same no-loss theory card.

"When the 2G scandal happened, Kapil Sibal (now communications minister) propounded the zero-loss theory," Jaitley said. He added that Kapil Sibal later could not cheat the people and later had to eat his words.

The aggression from the leader came in response to Chidambaram’s comment of Friday when he said that if coal is not being mined there was no loss or gain. He said that the presumed loss was a mistake.

Finally he supported the BJP for its protests and interruptions in the Parliament saying that the ruling government was making arguments based on “fragile logic”.
