UPA likely to announce its vice-president's candidate today

The United Progressive Alliance (UPA) is likely to announce its candidate for vice-president post. The UPA allies will meet today to discuss on the vice president's candidature. TMC, which has apparently been opposing the decision of UPA including president's candidature, may not welcome in case UPA finalizes Hami Ansari to continue as the vice president, said sources.

While Mamata Banerjee will not take part in the meeting today, she asked the party senior leader and railway minister Mukul Roy to mark the attendance at the UPA's meet, which is scheduled to take place this night. The sources said that TMC might proposed the names of Gopal Krishna Gandhi or Krishna Bose for vice-president's candidature. Earlier, UPA apparently said that it need not worry even if TMC doesn't support its vice-president's candidature.

Anyway, all political observers are keeping their fingers crossed to know whether TMC would go with UPA's decision or not.
