Anti corruption crusader Anna Hazare had fallen sick and was taken to a hospital in Nashik for a medical check up. The sources said that the 72-year-old social activist was doing well.  Anna Hazare complained of uneasiness coupled with feverishness moments before he was about to address a public meeting in Nandurbar.

Earlier, Anna Hazare’s health deteriorated and he was admitted to a private hospital in January.  His illness then forced him to call off his tour in five-poll-bound states. Meanwhile, Anna team announced recently that they would sit on hunger protest at Jantar Mantar from July 25 over the delay caused by the Centre in bringing out a strong Lokpal Bill.

Now that Anna is reporting of health related problems, the sources indicate that he should refrain from anything that damages his health including hunger protests. Also, Anna’s earlier protest evoked solid response and Anna has huge youth following across the country. Therefore, there would apparently be no need for Anna team to stage hunger protest yet another time, which would only damage the health of anti-corruption icon.
