The Obama Administration is increasingly getting alarmed over the growing illegal immigration of Indians, especially from Punjab and Gujarat, into its country through the Mexican border seeking the help of the organized crime gangs, according to a report published in Los Angels Times on Sunday.

Surprising thought it may be, 1600 Indians were caught in the first half of 2010 for sneaking into USA. According the report which quoted the officers of the US immigration department, the modus operandi of the Indians is to fly to the Latin American and Central American countries such as Ecuador, Venezuela and Guatemala through Dubai and then reach the Mexico-US border. “From there, the Indians are crossing the Rio Grande River with the help of organized crime syndicates and sneaking into the American border towns where the fellow Indians help them go to some other towns,” the report said.

The fast growing illegal immigrants of Indians has been giving sleepless nights to the immigration officials leading to the piling up of cases in courts and filling up of detention centers.  

What is surprising is these immigrants claim to be the members of the BJP and allege that they have entered into the US illegally as they have been unable to face the persecution at the hands of ruling congress workers. The report however says that these are the blatant lies as the political conditions in India do not favour such a persecution.

“It is true that these Indians are arriving in the US illegally with a view to earn big money,” the report concludes.
