In the early hours of the day police have seized a car loaded with explosives outside Ambala Cantt station in Haryana-Punjab border. Investigations are on.
In a bizarre incident the National Security Guards (NSG) who were alerted by the police, of an abandoned car since last evening outside in the parking lot of Ambala Cantt station. Investigations revealed that the car contained detonators and five kilo grams of explosive material. The NSG have cordoned the area and the explosive material is sent for forensic study. The car owners are yet to be identified. Preliminary investigations are going on.
It may be noted Ambala city has a large Indian Army and Indian Air Force presence within the confines of its cantonment area. Ambala constitutes nearly 34% of the total production of scientific instruments produced in India.
