STory

‘Teen Maar- Celebration of Love’ in the combination of Pavan Kalyan, Trivikram Srinivas and Jayant C Paranjee, has at last produced the magic of success that is very much needed for the survival of the Tollywood.

Coming as it does after the super flop of Jr.NTR starrer ‘Shakti’, the film comes as a great relief to the love wizards of the modern age.

Chef Michael Velayudham, played by Pavan Kalyan, is based in Cape Town and aspires to be an investment banker. He always respects and loves women. One day, Velayudham meets Meera Sastry (Trisha Krishnan) at a pub and they become friends. He starts dating with Meera and eventually falls in love with her.

Love is okay between them but both are of different nature in their perceptions. While Meera believes in long term relationships, commitments and marriage, Pavan has contrary opinions. In fact, he is the quite opposite in nature and seeks no commitments. Frankly speaking, he wants to be casual in his love and relationships.

Meanwhile, Meera’s career takes her back to India resulting in the break up of their relation but they agree firmly to be good friends in future.

Velayudham’s outlook towards love and life, however, changes after he comes to know the love story of Arjun Palvai of Varanasi, played again by Pavan Kalyan, through Senapathi, played by Paresh Rawal. Velayudham gets inspired to express his love in a different way towards Meera after he was informed how Palvai fought every person and obstruction that had come in his way of marrying his lover Vasumathi, played by Kriti.

‘Teen Maar-Celebration of Love’ is a remake of Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Love Aaj Kal’, very well written, acted and directed.

Pavan Kalyan and Trisha do more than justice to their roles and inspire all lovers of planet earth through some of their peppy dialogues. Songs, music and photography are simply superb but one is at a loss why the film is named ‘Teen Maar’, which doesn’t suite a love story like the one depicted in the movie.
